With perfect temperatures present on our home course the boys cross country team started the season with a decisive win against both BB&N and Austin Prep. The team was led by Matt Wing (17:13), Peter Favero (18:33), Vedant Deokar (18:37), and Luke Taylor (19:13) respectively. These boys spent most of the race pacing near one another and each of them finished the race strong, it was great to see Luke finish so well in his first cross country meet. Henry Harvath (19:18) and Joey Casper (19:48) also finished before any runner from another team and Nick Costantino (20:03) finished just behind the first runner from Austin Prep. This varsity team all ran extremely smart and well paced races while nearly all of them looked like they finished with more left in their tank and were able to win 15-50 against BB&N and 15-49 against Austin Prep

The JV team had a clean sweep of both other teams (15-50) with several reserve runners finishing at the front. Ben Luo, Tim Cassidy, Owen Barry, and Andy Chafez all finished under 21 with Raymond Li, Anton Balyuk, and Antonio Ometeotl all breaking 22 minutes. There were many other runners down the line that had strong finishes and showed promise for later in the season. 

After a week with several high mileage days these boys are prepared to get into some deeper training in the coming weeks and are excited to race against the defending ISL champions next week.
