Notes:
Middlesex traveled to Pingree on a warm Saturday in early September to kick off the 2022 fall campaign with a road victory.  In the first half, Pingree keeper Charlie Lynch made several top-drawer saves to keep the match close.  Jonah Zaas broke the deadlock for Middlesex after breaking behind the Pingree defensive line and being brought down from behind for a penalty kick that he willingly dispatched for the 1-0 halftime lead.  Middlesex took advantage of more opportunities early in the second to put the game away, as Olly Mylon served a dangerous ball that wound up at the feet of Aidan Falvey on the goal line for the easiest of finishes within five minutes of the restart.  Zach Miles rose highest on a corner kick just a few minutes later to head the ball right onto Aidan Falvey's foot for a close-range finish.  Senior Lincoln Graham rounded out the scoring after taking a feed from Zaas and hammering past the keeper from inside the area.  Both teams battled with spirit, intensity, and great sportsmanship that allowed the referee to keep his cards in his pocket for the afternoon.  Middlesex will regroup after the positive start and get back to work on the details on Monday before visiting Cushing Academy in a midweek road contest.
