Middlesex traveled to the Brooks stadium for a much anticipated battle with an evenly ranked team. The play went back and forth in the first 5 minutes resulting in a 4-4 tie at the 19-minute mark. From then on, the Zebras rolled on, scoring 5 goals to Brooks 1 to close out the half. The defensive unit played terrific team defense, and the offense was poised, demonstrating smart and crucial decision-making. In the second half, Middlesex continued to notch caused turnovers and goals taking an 11-6 lead, but Brooks continued to fight and inched their way back into the game. While the Zebras watched the minutes tick away, Brooks quickly climbed back into the game with 3 minutes remaining; however, the Zebras won the draw and remained poised to seal the win. Middlesex looks forward to reuniting with Milton in the quarter-finals of the 2022 ISL Invitational Tournament on Friday, May 20th at 5:30pm on the Zebra turf.
