The intrepid wrestlers of Middlesex traveled to Braintree on Wednesday for a midweek trimeet against ISL foes Brooks School and Thayer Academy. Despite missing a number of key contributors, the Zebras picked up two more wins to improve to 4-2 on the season. 

Senior Daniel Okyere set the tone in the first match against Brooks, earning a quick fall over his opponent at 132 lbs. Senior Jojo Nwosu also won by fall in the second period at 170 lbs and seniors Mark Conde and Cam Fries moved up to 195 and 220 respectively to earn bonus points and seal a 42-24 win over the Green and Black.

Senior Kevin Ma picked up the signature win against Thayer, going the distance in a hard-fought decision at 285 against a quality opponent. A five point feet-to-back throw made the difference, as well aggressive wrestling from neutral to forestall a third period comeback attempt. Forfeits in the lower and upper weights ran the final scoreline to 45-17 in the Zebras' favor. 

Middlesex will head to Groton Saturday for a showdown against Lawrence Academy and Portsmouth Abbey.
