Middlesex traveled to St. Mark's to open their ISL campaign on a warm September afternoon. Both teams battled hard throughout the first half, as they both created chances but were unable to cash any in. The halftime whistle came with zeroes still on the board. 

After some halftime adjustments, Middlesex was able to apply a bit more pressure on St. Mark's back line, yet the home team's defense were up to the task. The game turned on its head when Middlesex committed a penalty inside their box with less than ten minutes left, which St. Mark's converted. A final push forward saw the Zebras hit the post off a corner kick, with a couple additional chances blocked before St. Mark's cleared the ball off of their line. The final whistle sounded soon thereafter, concluding the entertaining match.

Middlesex continues league play as they welcome Tabor to Chapel Field on Wednesday. Kick off is scheduled for 3:30.
