Notes:
Middlesex traveled to Brookline for a midweek non-league match and emerged with a share of the points via a 2-2 draw.  The first half saw Middlesex struggle to connect passes on the wet turf and Dexter look to pump the ball long to their imposing target, O'Toole.  Middlesex got on the scoreboard first when Yared McDonald worked the ball along the edge of the penalty area and set up a one-time strike from Sinjin Doelitzsch '24 that fizzed just inside the post from 20 yard away.
With the score line at 1-0 for the visitors going into the second half, Dexter were gifted a route back into the game as a long pass in the middle led to a miscommunication between the keeper and center back.  The loose ball was pounced on by O'Toole who passed calmly into the open net from 30 yards out.  Dexter took a lead, 2-1, just eight minutes later when some loose marking allowed a back post finish from Ryan Perkins.  Credit goes to Dexter for being opportunistic in the ten-minute spell to change the story of the game.  Middlesex took control of the match for the final 30 minutes and Doelitzsch was taken down in the box for a spot kick that was finished with power by Jake Zaas '22.  Middlesex had no less than six open look chances in the box to find the winner, but none proved to be effectively put away.  The last half-hour showed signs of real promise for the young Middlesex team, and they look forward to the ISL opener at St. Mark's on Saturday.
