Notes:            
            Middlesex hosted a resolute Cushing Academy squad on a late Tuesday afternoon tilt to open the 2021 campaign.  The first half saw a great deal of possession and a host of point-blank chances created for the home team, but the finishing touches were rusty and the Cushing keeper, Raffa Metta, came up with some great saves.  After the halftime deadlock, the second half saw more of the same until junior Yared McDonald hammered a set piece into the top corner from 25+ yards out in the 70^th minute for the 1-0 Middlesex lead.  Junior keeper Aidan George was excellent at gathering the long set pieces served into the box and defenders George Lin '22 and Chase Tilson '23 did a solid job of preserving the clean sheet.  A solid effort from both teams and a great start to the young season for Middlesex.
