Middlesex started the match firmly on the front foot and were duly rewarded when sophomore Jack Staples finished a well-played delivery from freshman Zach Miles in the 3rd minute. Middlesex continued to control possession for good stretches and went into the half up a goal.

The home side came out for the second half with increased intensity, and Ben Kelly evened the match in the 54th minute with a header off of a corner kick that was redirected at the back post from the (6'5") Ethan Dhadly. Roxbury Latin continued to push in search of a winner, but Middlesex found their second in the 83rd minute when junior Lincoln Graham cut into the gap between defenders and finished neatly off of a perfectly weighted feed from sophomore Aidan Falvey. Middlesex scored again just a few minutes later off of a corner kick only to have it disallowed for an offside decision.  Just when it looked like a road win for Middlesex, Ethan Kuechler struck a deflected one-time finish from outside the area in the last of the four additional minutes to level things up for Roxbury Latin at 2-2. While the result was heartbreaking for Middlesex, the team put forth a fantastic effort and took the lead twice before surrendering the equalizer in the 94th minute.  This was a well-played match by both sides.
