The Middlesex boys came out with a solid game plan and settled into the match against BB&N for the first ten minutes with great organization and good energy. That energy was tapped after a top-class goal came out of the blue for the visitors after a lost mark dribbled from right to left from the flank and curled a great finish into the top corner of the far side. Middlesex regained their feet and continued to press on in the match for the remainder of the half. In the last thirty seconds of the half, BB&N won a free kick on the right side of the field from 40 yards out. The ball served into the box was won by George Lin and headed outside of the box, but immediately headed back into the area for a flick on by BB&N's center back, Jack Pappendick, that looped over the outstretched arm of Middlesex keeper Aidan George. The 2-0 deficit came right before the halftime whistle and changed the tone of the match. The second half saw BB&N score two more well-taken goals from the quality of their attacking play. Middlesex's lone tally was scored on a corner kick taken by Chase Tilson that curled low and into the far side net for the 4-1 final score line. The boys have two days to restore energy and competitive levels as they prepare for the St. George's match on Saturday to close out the season.
