Notes:
Middlesex traveled to Lawrence Academy for a midweek tilt that fell far short of expectations.  Middlesex had a clear chance to score in the opening minute, when Sinjin Doelitzsch '24 found Aidan Falvey '24 wide open in the penalty area, but Falvey's shot was deflected onto the outside of the post and out for a corner.  Just a few minutes later, Lawrence Academy capitalized on a corner kick as the ball was played into the six-yard box and misjudged for the 1-0 lead to the home team.  In the last minute before halftime, Middlesex found the net when Doelitzsch found Falvey again, who lifted the ball over the keeper and just over the line to knot the score at 1-1.  That would not last long, as Lawrence scored on another set piece, this time a long throw in that was flicked on and misjudged by the keeper, during the extra time added on to the half.  The second half saw Middlesex control the ball and have roughly 70% of the possession, as Lawrence sat in their half and defended and didn't give much space behind them.  Impatience, a lack of energy, and some poor execution led to a frustrating second half for the visitors and the 2-1 score line was celebrated by the home team at the final whistle.  Lawrence deserved something from the game thanks to their solid effort.
