It was a tale of two halves for Middlesex, as Belmont Hill traveled to Concord for a midweek ISL showdown. The first half was a back-and-forth game without too many chances created for either side. Throughout the half, Will Lloyd grew more influential in the game for Belmont Hill as Yared McDonald did the same for Middlesex. The half ended at 0-0 and it was time to regroup for both sides after some chaotic and choppy periods of play. Middlesex broke the deadlock in the 51
st minute as Jake Zaas fed the ball to McDonald at the top of the D. After a cutback, McDonald unleashed a low drive with his left foot from 20 yards that nestled into the side net for a 1-0 lead. Twelve minutes later, George Lin launched a long restart into the opposing box that was headed up and over the keeper for the 2-0 advantage for the home side. The scoring was closed in the 82
nd minute after McDonald rounded the keeper and was brought down for a penalty that George Lin buried for the 3-0 final. The score line hid the fact the Belmont Hill had a number of great chances to get back in the match in the second half, including a chance on the edge of the six that was put over the bar, a crossbar struck by Blake DaCosta, and a penalty by Jack Albers that was well saved by Middlesex's Aidan George in the 90
th minute to preserve the clean sheet. Max Carboni and Will Lloyd stood out for the visitors and Yared McDonald, Jake Zaas, and George Lin shone for Middlesex.
