Governor's hosted Middlesex on a warm Wednesday in October for another competitive ISL match day. The opening phases of play were balanced, and Governor's was staying well organized and plugging up the channels in the middle. The scoring opened in the 14
th minute as Yared McDonald '23 took a feed from Jake Zaas '22 at the top of the box and wove his way through three defenders before tucking the ball inside the post. Jack Staples '24 made it 2-0 five minutes later with a close-range finish off a flick from Aidan Falvey '24. Two minutes later, George Lin '22 pounced on a central clearance at the top of the 18 and rifled a shot low to the side net, just past the crowd of defenders in the box. Henry Brown '22 closed out the scoring in the 38
th minute with a close-range finish after a great overlapping run along the byline by Teddy Fritzinger '24. Governor's showed great resolve and were much livelier in the second half. They never stopped working to close down marks and keep launching the counterattack. The match was fairly played, and no players were booked.  Zach Miles '25 and Sky Platt '23 worked well together defensively to preserve the clean sheet for Middlesex.
