Middlesex Boys' Varsity Hockey came away with the team's second Eberhart ISL win with a 5-1 win over BB&N at home on Saturday. Henry Cohen opened the scoring at 5:19 of the second period, with assists going to Joe Freeman and Rex Mabbs. BB&N responded with a shot from ten feet out in the slot that tied the game at one apiece at 10:26. Kyle Heath, Middlesex's leading scorer, put Middlesex ahead on a beautiful team play with assists going to Henry Cohen and Pavel Akmaev. Aidan Tripp scored his second goal of the year for Middlesex on a nice individual effort at 2:30 of the third period to take a 3-1 lead. Akmaev scored the next goal at 9:42 to help build the lead and take control of the game. Sophomore Jayden Mullens closed out the scoring on a power play goal at 11:57 to round out the scoring.
Middlesex had the unusual feat of finishing the game with five different scorers and a combined effort of three goalies (Jordan Busner, Nate Crozier and AJ Finta) to secure the victory.
