4/11/2019 10:07:00 AM

The Middlesex Baseball team plated three runs in the top of the first inning and broke open a close game with 5 runs in the final three innings to post an 8-1 victory over Tabor on Wednesday afternoon.

Cole Cleary '20 and Jared Arnold '19 got the Zebras going with back to back singles to open the game. After a HBP, a wild pitch and an RBI groundout by Kevin Campbell '20, Middlesex had a 2-0 lead which was extended to 3-0 after an RBI single by Liam Eliot '21.

Single runs in the 5th and 6th innings and a 3 run outburst in the 7th highlighted by a Kyle Wolff '22 homer provided the final margin of victory. Cleary, Eliot, Jason Saharia '19 and Kobe LeDuc '21 all posted two hits to lead the offense.

On the mound, Wolff, Cleary, and Eliot combined on a one-hitter while allowing one unearned run.

Middlesex returns to action on Saturday when they host Nobles. First pitch is at 3:30 pm.
