The Middlesex Boys' Varsity Hockey team got off to a great start scoring two goals in the the first three minutes of the game against BB&N. Senior forward Brian Cloherty led the way with two goals in a 4 -1 victory at home on Friday night. Cloherty scored early in the game at 2:25 with assists going to Cedric Paradis and Colin Craig. However, BB&N tied the game on a breakaway at 2:46 of the first period.
Sandwiched between Cloherty's goals was a nice finish by Alex Rivet who converted a rebound to the left of the BB&N goaltender, which made the score 2-1. Assists on the goal went to Kyle Heath and Ben Friedman. Cloherty's second goal was scored even strength and both Colin Craig and Ben Friedman picked up their second assists of the game. With just under two minutes to play, Cedrick Paradis made a strong play just inside the Middlesex blue line to push the puck forward and score an empty net goal to seal the win. Shots on goal were 50 to 19 in favor of Middlesex.
