Middlesex was mentally prepared for this game. In the first half, both teams struggled with shooting, but the Zebras were taking all of the right shots off of their offense and dominating on the offensive and defensive boards. Middlesex led at halftime in a low scoring game 17-13. In the second half, Milton fired back and was able to close on a 12-point lead by Middlesex. The Zebras were up by three with 18 seconds to go, when Milton made a three pointer to tie the game. Middlesex was unable to score in the final moments. In overtime, it was the battle of the wills. Both teams made mental errors, both teams played great defense. Middlesex scored three more points (all off of foul shots) to win the game.Â
