Middlesex had a slow start and St. Mark's came out firing on all cylinders on Saturday afternoon at Middlesex School. Despite the territorial difference, the game remained scoreless through the middle of the second period. With Middlesex pressing hard, the puck popped loose for a two man breakaway in which St. Mark's deposited to take the lead 1-0 at 10:40 of the period. Middlesex started to gain momentum as the game progressed but were unable to beat the St. Mark's goalie. With 13 seconds remaining and the goaltender pulled for Middlesex, a turnover in the neutral zone wound up in the back of the empty net. Senior goaltender, Joe Stanizzi put in a dazzling display of goaltending in this game and finished with 42 saves.
