The Middlesex Girls' Soccer team traveled to Cambridge for their last road game, a mid-week ISL tilt against formidable BB&N.
 
BB&N came out charging, and it took a bit of time for Middlesex to get situated defensively. But the defensive unit of Nico Roark '20, Daisy Boynton '20, Abby Murphy '23, and Hannah O'Gara '20 were able to keep the Knights at bay, with goalkeeper Ali Joseph '20 managing all opportunities that came her way. BB&N was relentless in their pressure, however, and towards the latter part of the first half, they were able to break through for the opening goal of the match.
 
The halftime whistle, and Middlesex gathered to motivate each other and to make some adjustments. They would have the wind with them in the second half, and they needed to capitalize on their offensive chances. Unfortunately, BB&N raised the pace of their game, and quickly pushed the game out of reach, scoring a total of 5 goals in the second half.
 
MXGVS conclude the 2019 campaign Saturday with a home contest against rival St. George's on Chapel Field.
