Notes:
An action-packed matchup in Weston resulted in a 2-2 draw between Middlesex and Rivers.  The first half saw even play with multiple scoring chances and even possession for both teams.  Middlesex's Jake Zaas came closest to scoring for either team in the first half, as his one-time shot rung the inside of the post from close range and came back out.  After a 0-0 deadlock at halftime, Middlesex dominated the midfield in the second half of play but couldn't put the game out of reach.  The scoring opened just two minutes after the restart as a loose clearance in the middle was hammered on frame by Jake Zaas that was saved, but the keeper left a rebound right in front of the open net for Anyolo Makatiani to bury for the 1-0 Middlesex lead.  Middlesex enjoyed the lion's share of possession in the second half but were not able to extend the lead until Rivers struck late.  With less than ten minutes to play Rivers' long balls paid off, as Aidan Davock collected a long switch in the corner of the box and split two defenders before burying the ball in the far side net to knot the game at 1-1.  Davock was opportunistic again to take a shock lead in the 86th minute.  Middlesex refused to let such a turn of events spoil their day and pressed on for an equalizer in the final three minutes.  That answer was found when George Lin launched a ball over the left back's shoulder to an onrushing Anyolo Makatiani who settled with his first touch and dispatched the ball into the side net with his second touch in the 91st minute.  Though disappointed to let a late lead slip away, Middlesex was proud of the character that they showed for coming back after the quick change of score line.  Both teams played a great game and the quality on display was entertaining for all to enjoy.
