Notes:
A wet Wednesday road game saw a really competitive first half open up in the second half for a 5-1 Middlesex win at Lawrence Academy.  For Lawrence, Frederick Madsen posed threat down the left flank and was rewarded in the 31st minute for his hard work when a miscue from the Middlesex defense placed the ball on his foot in front of an open net to knot the score at 1-1.  Charlie Mehm chipped in for Middlesex with a goal and an assist and a second half shot that dipped just above the top corner from distance.  Timi Ojo saw his return from injury and he provided a real boost to the attack by defending well and bombing on from outside back.  Twelve minutes into the second half, Ojo was played in on the keeper by Jake Zaas and he roofed his finish as reward for a 60-yard run.  Kwabena Kwakwa was difficult to contain with multiple midfield defenders pressuring him and Andrew Parker was everywhere that Middlesex needed him.  Plaudits go to Anyolo Makatiani for completing his hat trick and putting the result out of reach in the latter stages of the match.  Alfonso DeVito was called upon to make a handful of difficult saves to keep the aggressive counter-attackers of Lawrence at bay.  Credit to the home team for a spirited effort and both teams stayed out of the referee's notebook with their fair but competitive play.
