Jared Arnold figured in all three goals on Saturday as the Middlesex Boys' Varsity Hockey team opened 2019 with a win on the road. After a scoreless first period, Kyle Heath opened the scoring from the slot on a great passing play with assists going to Alex Rivet and Arnold. BB&N's goaltender was barraged with shots throughout the game and he thwarted the Zebras until 15 minutes into the final period when Arnold unleashed a 40 foot shot through a screen that found the upper corner. Assists went to both Joe Freeman and Alex Rivet.

As time wound down, Arnold once again found the back of the net from inside the defensive zone while shorthanded and with the BB&N goalie pulled for an extra attacker. MX goaltender Joe Stanizzi stopped all 21 shots to preserve the shut out.

The win advances the squad to a 5-3 record and the team will travel to take on Portsmouth  Abbey on Wed. January 9th at 4:30 PM
