The two Zebras faced off on the Concord turf Saturday afternoon. Middlesex jumped out to an early lead and dominated the first half, scoring 12 goals to Groton's 2. However, the visiting Zebras put forth a valiant effort in the second half and brought the score differential down with some good feisty play. Seven Middlesex players adding to the scoring and Sophie MacKegian led the team in caused turnovers with 4 (including 3 interceptions). Ris Hurley, Lucie Gildehaus, MacKeigan, Hughes, MacMaster, and goalie Caroline Fischer led the team in ground balls and Fischer notched 9 saves on the day.
