The Zebras were a little slow out of the gate, but rallied back to earn another ISL win. Govs came on strong, scoring the first two goals of the game, and Middlesex knew they needed to step up their game. After four minutes of back and forth play and some strong defensive work, the attack got on the board with a goal from Lucie Gildehaus from Caroline Hughes. Clarissa Hurley struck next with a terrific individual effort, and the score was tied. Leading the attack, senior Marina Bevacqua added a goal and Gildehaus notched three and the Zebras never looked back.

The defensive unit, led by senior goalie Caroline Fischer and senior Caroline Silk, played terrific team defense, and the tireless midfield consisting of Sophie MacKeigan, Maddie MacMaster, Gildehaus, and Caroline Hughes did terrific work on the ground balls, draws, and transitions. In the second half, Govs continued to play hard and it was a battle between the teams, but the Zebras could not be stymied at either end of the field. Middlesex will take on St. George's on Friday for their final game and a crack at a second consecutive ISL Championship.
