Notes:             St. George's hosted Middlesex for the traditional rivals match to close out the 2018 ISL season on their gorgeous new turf field.  The conditions were windy, and the temperatures were dropping, but the match was packed with action.  Center Back Justin Krayer scored two goals for Middlesex on set pieces in the 4th and 86th minutes to bookend the scoring, while playing a stellar match and leading from the back.  Jacob Charles netted another hat trick for Middlesex, with goals in the 29th, 32nd, and 56th minutes, to give him five goals for the week and 23 for the season.  Josh Quirk scored in the 58th minute after a sublime Kwabena Kwakwa back heel, and provided two assists of his own.  St. George's fought back with vigor in the second half and were rewarded for their effort when Liam Rhatigan finished off of the bottom of the crossbar from a close angle in the 61st minute, and then Thibault Antonietti made it 5-2 when he converted a transition caused by some strong pressure from the Dragons.   Tate Michelson also had a strong performance in the midfield for St. George's, but the Middlesex attack was firing on all cylinders.  The match was fast-paced, and both teams played with spirit and positive play.  The three points for the win brought Middlesex to 39 points on the season and a 15-0-3 overall record, which was enough to win the 2018 Gummere Cup as ISL Boys' Soccer champions.   For the Middlesex boys, they currently post a 30-match unbeaten streak against ISL competition.  Middlesex last won the Gummere Cup 42 years ago, in 1976, prior to the creation of the 16-team Independent School League, which began in 1984.  The team finished the ISL regular season with 51 goals scored, and 61 scored overall, with 12 goals conceded in 18 matches.
