Notes:             Thayer hosted Middlesex to a wet and wild match on their turf in adverse conditions.  The wind was whipping and the rain was driving throughout the match, but the two teams did their best to control the conditions and played a competitive and fast paced match to entertain the brave spectators.  Just five minutes into the match, Kwabena Kwakwa played a deft layoff to Jacob Charles who hammered the ball home from the top of the box for the 1-0 lead for Middlesex.  Thayer hung tough and created chances through their long throw in sets to great effect.  In the 18th minute, senior Tim Kemp flicked a long throw to an open Brad Campbell right in front of the net, and the unmarked attacker buried his chance to knot the score at 1-1.  The score line remained the same until the hour mark when freshman George Lin got forward on the left flank and played a first time ball right onto the foot of Jacob Charles for a comfortable finish and a 2-1 lead.  Anyolo Makatiani capitalized eight minutes later to close out the scoring, and wrap up the points at 3-1.  Owen Drometer and Eben Butler defended really well, and the entire Thayer midfield pressed the ball with tenacity throughout the match.  Besides the goal scorers, Justin Krayer, Haydn Herrema, and Kwabena Kwakwa stood out for Middlesex.  The conditions made it a match to remember, as did the level of intensity and competitiveness from both sides.
