Notes:             Middlesex travelled to Belmont Hill on a crisp and windy Wednesday for a classic battle of two strong ISL teams.  The boys from Middlesex struggled to maintain possession or defensive shape in the first 25 minutes and Belmont Hill made them pay dearly for it.  In the 20th minute, Charlie Richards got on to the end of the ball from Adil Kassim and beat the Middlesex keeper to the near post for a 1-0 lead.  Belmont Hill struck again in the 25th minute when Diego Pereira made a lung-busting run down the left flank and cut inside to finish off the far post to go up 2-0.  Middlesex shifted around and took better control of the match by the half hour, but at 2-0 down on the road to Belmont Hill, this needed to be a monumental comeback.
The visitors did not disappoint, as Justin Krayer found Anyolo Makatiani off of a redirection from Jacob Charles to make it 2-1.  Belmont Hill then earned a rash penalty in the 38th minute, but their striker skied the effort over the bar.  The second half was a different story, as the Middlesex midfield took control of the match and kept Belmont Hill pinned in their half with long ball clearances to spring a counterattack their primary method of relief.  Kwabena Kwakwa tied the game for Middlesex in the 70th minute when Josh Quirk took a ball out of the air with a soft first touch to Kwakwa to finish over the keeper's shoulder.  Middlesex had three open net chances in the final ten minutes to win the match, including a breakaway on the last play of the match that rolled inches wide of the post, but a win was not in the cards.  It was a great example of resilience and competitiveness from both sides, and Middlesex came away with a hard-earned point on the road.
