Girls' Varsity Squash traveled to Pomfret on the Saturday of semester break. The Zebras found good form on Pomfret's true and lively courts, coming away with a 5-2 victory. At #2, junior Mira Handa recovered from losing the first game by hitting good depth and width, and going short when the occasion warranted it, to run games 2-4, and win 3-1. At #3, senior Nina Thomas continued to run down every ball on her way to a 3-0 victory. At #5 junior Margaret Rand triumphed 3-0 with aggressive deep hitting, and some nice boasts and drops. At #6 senior Annabelle Ayer used her backhand drive to good effect in also winning her match 3-0. And at #7, freshman Natalie McCall used power serving and some nice touch at the front to win her match 3-0 as well. The team looks forward to an away match against Brooks next Wednesday.
