Middlesex traveled to Milton to make up Wednesday's match, rescheduled because of the snow storm. In the first round of matches, junior Mira Handa at #2 fell just short in three tight games, slightly outmaneuvered by her skilled opponent, even though Mira worked the whole court skillfully. At #4, sophomore Averill Emery did a great job of attacking her opponent's short shots, but in the end could not defend against her opponent's cleverly deceptive crosscourts and also fell in three tight games. In the second round, senior Nina Thomas at #3 won her match 3-0, keeping the ball tight and deep and successfully covering her opponent's drops. Though the Zebras played with passion, Milton proved too strong at the rest of the positions, and ultimately Milton won the match 6-1.
