The Boys' Hockey team remained hot and put on a scoring display in a 7-3 victory over non-league rival, the Highlanders of Pingree. After falling behind mid way through the first period on a short handed tally, the Zebras were able to maintain their composure and focus. Trailing 1-0 after the first period, the Zebras came out of the locker room on fire, scoring five goals in the middle frame to take control of the game. Sophomore Anthony Mandravellos started the scoring parade on the power play with a blast from the point to even the score at 1. Assists came from junior Daniel Kerfoot and senior Zach McCrystal. Pingree would take the lead once again under a minute later, but junior Alex Rivet answered with a tally of his own, from linemates Kyle Heath, and Tyler Hughey, knotting the score at 2. Junior Jared Arnold then found the back of the net on the power play, with assists coming from Heath and Rivet, to give the Zebras their first lead of the game, 3-2. Daniel Kerfoot struck seconds later in tight, off of a feed from senior captain, Dylan Fields to make the score 4-2. Arnold stretched the lead to 5-2, notching his second of the game in the final minutes of the period, with assists coming from junior Nick Angelis, and Daniel Kerfoot. In the third, Tyler Hughey scored on a powerful slap shot on the power play, to put the game out of reach. Anthony Mandravellos assisted on the goal. Alex Rivet closed out the scoring for the Zebras, moments later. Assists came from Heath and Hughey. Pingree added a late goal, to make the score 7-3, and that would be the final. Junior goalie Joe Stanizzi got the win in net for the home team. With the win, the Zebras move to 5-3-1 as they head into crucial league games this week with Roxbury Latin and Groton.
