In the team's first ISL match of the season, the Middlesex Boys' Squash teams traveled to Southborough, Mass. to take on the St. Mark's Lions. Freshman Mac Hadden, in his varsity debut as the 5th seed, played with confidence and sportsmanship. Both the 4th seed senior Giao Phan and the 2nd seed sophomore David Hitzrot made valiant comeback efforts despite being down two games, and fought hard for every point. Though the team demonstrated great fundamentals and determination, the team's only win came from senior captain Andre Megliola's 1st seed match at the end of the afternoon. Andre's tightly contested five-game match and ultimate victory was a prime example of excellent team leadership, even though the meet was already decided. Andre maintained a competitive edge as the whole team watched.
