Middlesex Boys' Varsity Basketball extended its win streak to 6 and to 7-1 overall with a 56-53 road victory behind Tyler Gelormini's 19 points and Kai Morris' 10 points. Gelormini hit four crucial free throws in the last minute, including two with 4.6 seconds remaining to secure the win. Gelormini started out with 12 points in the first half to stake MX to 32-26 lead. The second half saw St. Mark's battle back and eventually take a 45-40 lead. The Zebras executed wonderfully down the stretch with a 12-0 run, highlighted by a shot clock beating deep 3 pointer by Julian Howell. The rest of the scoring was rounded out by Howell's 9 points, Mike Doherty's 8 and Derek Demarzo's 7 points to go with a team high 7 rebounds. The team travels to Rivers on Friday at 6:00PM for more ISL action.Â
