The Middlesex Boys' Soccer team cruised to a 4-0 victory in the home opener of the ISL season.  The scoring opened in the 16th minute when junior Josh Quirk took the byline and created a tap in for junior Jacob Charles.  Jacob Charles scored his second in the 38th minute when he beat the onrushing keeper to a through ball from sophomore Anyolo Makatiani and touched it past for an easy finish and a 2-0 score going into the halftime break.

The heat and humidity were oppressive, and Middlesex was able to use all of their field players in a team effort.  In the second half, Middlesex put the result beyond question within the first twelve minutes.  In the 54th minute a corner kick resulted in a loose ball that freshman Andrew Parker buried for his first Middlesex goal.  Just two minutes later Josh Quirk found Anyolo Makatiani for a composed finish to bring the score to 4-0.  Junior Kenyon Pelletier earned the shutout in the net, and the backline was led by excellent play from juniors Justin D'Alessandro and Justin Krayer.  The win brings Middlesex's record to 3-1 on the young season with a big match coming on Friday against Milton Academy to be played on the grass field #7 at Progin Park in Lancaster, MA at 2:00pm.
