The Girls' Varsity Tennis team decisively won its make-up match 12 - 3 against Lawrence Academy Tuesday after having been rained out the week before. Puddles on the court were still drying as the Zebras traveled to Groton, Mass. to play in sunny, cool conditions. 

Led by senior Sophia Corning at #1 singles, Middlesex won 10 of the available 12 singles points, securing the overall victory before entering into doubles. Sets were swept by Helen Lasry '18 and captain Caroline Reynolds '17, while Maud McCole '19, Miranda Fiore '19, and Madeline Graham '18 all bageled their opponents in both sets, not letting even one game slip. 

Reynolds and Lasry fought a hard battle in their doubles set at #1, losing in a tiebreaker. Doubles points were captured by #2 team McCole and Laura Kaye '17 as well as Averill Emery '20 and Margaret Rand '19 at #3, all contributing towards the team's success that day.

The team will celebrate the victory and come back out to face Andover on our home court tomorrow.
