Middlesex Boys' Varsity Soccer Match Report, 10/7/2017
Middlesex 0 Brooks 0

Middlesex hosted the defending ISL Champions on a picturesque Saturday fall afternoon, and came away with a share of the points after a 0-0 draw.  In the first half, Middlesex keeper Kenyon Pelletier made a few nice stops from the Brooks attackers, but the Middlesex defensive shape held and limited the chances to shots from well outside of the area.   Duncan Sutherland was a constant threat for Brooks, along with Jacob Iwowo, and their size and physicality posed consistent problems to defend.  Marcelo Lage also stood out and did well to minimize the damage of the Middlesex counterattack.  Justin D'Alessandro and Haydn Herrema stood out for Middlesex, and Josh Quirk did a nice job of creating the handful of chances for the Middlesex attack.  Middlesex was the more pleased of the two teams to have earned a point, as Brooks is an extremely aggressive and physical attacking team with talented players in all areas of the field.
