Middlesex hosted Thayer Academy on Parents' Weekend, and put forth an excellent effort to get the 5-0 home victory.  Declan Havlicek stood strong in the Thayer net, but the pressure was relentless in the opening phase of the match from Middlesex.  Jacob Charles was fed twice in rapid succession by playmaker Josh Quirk to make the score 2-0 in the early going.  Charles cashed in on a beautiful build up and service from Luca Steinert to push the lead to 3-0 just before halftime.  Early in the second half, senior Colin McCabe broke down the left wing and squared the ball to fellow senior Matthew Benedict for a great counterattack goal in the 49^th minute, and McCabe teed up Jacob Charles for his fourth goal of the match in the 55^th minute.  Senior captain Eoin O'Sullivan was inspirational for Thayer in the midfield and worked incessantly to break up play and win tackles.  The Middlesex midfielders and defenders did well to possess the ball over the last 30 minutes, and keepers Kenyon Pelletier and Alfonso De Vito shared the clean sheet in goal.
