Middlesex Girls' Varsity Soccer stepped out of league play with a midweek tilt against Dana Hall. The girls were eager to play after a long weekend away from school, and they quickly got on the board with a clinical finish in front by Lucie Gildehaus '18 in the 3rd minute. Middlesex continued to dictate play, and added a second goal by Gildehaus, this time off a cross from Carly Tilson '20. Two more goals, scored by Lola Davis '20 and Ellery Winkler '19, closed out the first stanza with the Zebras leading 4-0.
Â
The second half saw Middlesex maintain possession for the most part, but Dana Hall proved a resilient bunch, and they would not go without a fight. Two second half goals, by Basha Waxman '21 and Maddie MacMaster '18, put the game out of reach.
Â
Highlights were that every player saw a solid amount of playing time, including goalkeeper Olivia Clark '21, who saw the first varsity action of her young career. Clark split the shutout with Ali Joseph '20.

The Zebras get back to ISL competition as they travel to Nobles on Saturday.
