The Middlesex Boys' Varsity Squash team traveled to Portsmouth Abbey this past Saturday, January 21st. The match was a hard fought battle, lasting close to an hour and a half, and ultimately resulting in a Middlesex victory. Close matches at the one, four and six spots tilted in the favor of Portsmouth Abbey with Tom Kaye '17, Jonathan Cao '18, and Chad Arle '17 falling to their opponents. On the flip side, Middlesex pulled out quick victories at the two, five, and seven spots. Luke Collins '18, played up at number seven for Middlesex, winning a convincing 3 - 1 match while Reid Parisi '17 and David Hitzrot '20 won quick 3 - 0 matches. Andre Megliola '18 preserved the victory, playing an intense five set match. With the teams tied 3 - 3, Andre pulled out a 11-9, 10-12, 11-9, 9-11, 11-8 victory in the deciding match to propel the Zebras to victory.
