The Zebras had difficulty running a disciplined attack in the first half, preventing the team from generating offense. While Middlesex got on the board first on a beautiful crease roll by senior Hannah Saghir just one minute into play, the Zebras remained scoreless for twenty minutes. The defense did their best to fend off the BBN runs, but still, the team went into the second half down 2-4. Much like the first half, Middlesex scored right away on a Lucie Gildehaus goal, but the Knights went on a run, scoring the next goals to take an 8-3 lead with only six minutes remaining in the game. Finally, the Zebras found a spark and scored the next three goals from combined efforts by Caroline and Isabel Yonce, Gildehaus and Ellie Herring. Unfortunately, it was too late as the time dwindled. The Zebras will refocus for an important game vs. Brooks leading up to the First ISL Tournament on Saturday.
