The 2016-2017 wrestling season opened on Friday, December 2 with the team traveling to Milton Academy for an early season dual match.

With the team rebuilding from last year's fantastic season and graduation of nine seniors, the group preformed well.  Even with a few fall season sport injuries and forfeited weight classes, the team pulled out an outstanding victory of their ISL rival.

Early victories by Peter Daichman and Marcus Coward started the team on solid footing.  The leadership of captain Ted Pyne, who moved up one weight class, became the difference maker as he managed a major victory with backpoints with only two seconds left in the period.

After forfeits were exchanged, the final score resulted in Middlesex 40 and Milton 36.
