The Zebras traveled to the north shore for their fourth away game in seven days. Nonetheless, Middlesex came out strong and disciplined and executed an outstanding first half of soccer. They generated numerous offensive opportunities that were played just wide or into the grasp of a very talented Pingree goalie. Defensively, Middlesex was on its toes and won many key 50/50 battles in the midfield. However, the Zebras succumbed to mental and physical fatigue in the second half and therefore allowed Pingree to capitalize on two defensive team breakdowns to go up by two. The Zebras rallied late in the second half to try to capitalize on several chances, but ultimately, they came up short. Middlesex will take advantage of some much needed rest this weekend and get back to work to prepare for yet another tough I.S.L battled against the Knights of BB&N at home on Wednesday, November 9 at 2:00PM.
