Middlesex celebrated the seniors of Girls' XC at our last home race of the season over Parents' Weekend.  Unfortunately, although the team ran well and competed with poise and pride, they were not able to defeat the Knights of BB&N.  Gabby Walsh finished 2nd in the race, with teammates Charlotte O'Toole, senior captain Julia McClellan, Emily Li, and Tess Kelley working together as our scoring varsity five.  Wani Pandey and Katie Fujimori ran best times for our course to finish 6th and 7th for the Zebras.  Senior Laura Kaye made the most of her last home race, leading the JV scorers with a strong finish and terrific effort throughout the course.  She was followed by a pack of teammates that are working well together and improving fast: Alene Fernandes, Maya Sidhu, Kricket Drewes, Alice Crow, Phoebe Martin, and Imani Marcelo.  Senior Sophia Corning made her return to racing for the season, and senior Sananda Chintamani ran one of her fastest home course times of her four years on the team.  Manager Valerie Chen deserves special mention for her statistical, photographic, and nutritional endeavors.
