On a warm fall afternoon and on a fast and firm course, the Middlesex boys narrowly came up short against the Zebras of Groton School, but posted some strong individual results as the regular season heads into the home stretch.

Senior co-captain Ryan Ewing once again led the way for Middlesex, chasing the second Groton runner to the line in 17:30. He was followed closely by junior Luke Collins in a personal-best 18:00 and sophomore Connor Page in 18:06. Sophomore Jack Audett and freshman Colin Craig rounded out the scoring for the Zebras of Concord.

Senior Chad Arle led the scorers on the junior varsity side, running a fine tactical race and cruising to the finish in 19:44. Sophomore Andrew Danoff, making his return from injury, was the second Middlesex finisher in 20:04, followed by senior Dan Kramer in 20:37. Junior Zeke Golnik and sophomore Ace Wainaina finished fourth and fifth for Middlesex.

The Zebras will return to action on the home course this Saturday against BB&N.
