The traditional Friday long-fall-weekend match up saw Groton host Middlesex under beautiful fall conditions, with the visiting team earning a 3-0 victory. Captain Tyler Brooks and Chewy Bruni led the Groton attack, and Bruni was unlucky to strike the crossbar in the second half, while Alec Reiss and Walker Davey organized and led the backline well for Groton. James Sanderson found the back of the net in the 5th minute for the early lead and Will Chamberlain doubled the lead with an open tap in in the 35th minute. After the interval, Middlesex was quick to extend the lead to 3-0, as Josh Quirk earned his second assist of the day by feeding an open Cole Whisnand in the box. Gavin Garrity-Rokous was excellent in absorbing the mounting Groton pressure for Middlesex, and Kenyon Pelletier earned the shutout.
