A balanced effort kept a short-handed Boys' Basketball team in the game versus a very strong Rivers team on the road Friday evening.  Senior captain Austin Dorsey and sophomore Mike Doherty led MX with 10 points each.  Senior Brandon Shaw had 9 points and senior James McGrath had 8 points as MX rebounded from a slow start to close that gap to 27-21.  Playing without senior captain and 4-year starter Jack Lyne, MX was able to match Rivers in the second half to keep the game within range.  Boys Varsity Basketball returns to the court on Wednesday at Nobles at 5:00PM.
