The Zebras fell to Govs in a heartbreaking loss. The game was back and forth as both teams turned the ball over on several occasions in the first half. Both teams had opportunities, but Govs took a 6-4 lead at the half. In the second half, the game was back and forth with both teams scoring, but the Govs managed to maintain a two goal lead for much of the half. Down 8-10 with 6 minutes remaining, the Zebras dug their heels in and Emma Fehnel and Claire Miller notched pivotal goals to tie the game at 10 with 4:16 remaining. Govs answered just 17 seconds later to take the 11-10 lead, but Middlesex refused to quit and Ellie Herring made a terrific play to again even the score at 11 with 1:17 on the clock. Govs answered once again and while Middlesex had a last chance to tie it up, they just fell short with seconds remaining. Claire Miller led the scoring with five goals, while Fehnel earned five caused turnovers, three contested ground balls and two goals. Lily Henderson added three caused turnovers, Mary Demoulas earned two caused turnovers and two contested ground balls, and Hannah Saghir nabbed seven draw controls.
