After last year's three point loss to Thayer, Middlesex arrived to the South Shore with a vengeance. Shots did not fall in the first half for both teams. The Zebras had a size advantage, and Lydia Paddock had a particularly strong game with four points from rebounds. In the second half, Thayer came out with a lot of energy and nailed some three pointers to keep them in the game. Middlesex responded with tough defense and were able to work the ball on offense in order to get some open looks. Ari Odom had 11 points that were set up by great passing from Jenna Doherty and Ericka Ekhator. Kat Barry and Kate Wood played great defense and were able to generate some steals. Though Middlesex led for most of the game, Thayer played aggressive defense, which led to a physical game. It was good team effort with a 33-20 win over Thayer.Â
