The last midweek clash of the 2015 season was an epic contest between the host Middlesex and the visitor BB&N, ending in a dramatic 1-1 draw. The first half was competitive and controlled, with Gavin Tasker causing trouble and creating strong scoring chances after gaining the byline and Daniel Munch looking to drive forward on the counter attack. With the score knotted at 0-0 in the 66th minute, Liam Sloan won a set piece service from Caleb Michalak on the penalty spot and he had the presence of mind to settle the ball and tuck it into the left side of the net for the 1-0 advantage. BB&N poured on some pressure with their strong attackers and mature defending in the closing stages. They were rewarded in the 88th minute when Andrew Rasnick cut the ball back outside of the box to find space for a hit that took a deflection and found its way through a crowd and into the net off of the wet surface. The energy and spirit was fantastic throughout the match, as captain Andrew Taliaferro stood out in BB&N's back line. Senior captain Jivan Purutyan was immense for Middlesex, as he won countless balls and distributed them well to spring the midfield forward for the home side. Both teams should be proud of the entertaining, clean, and high quality of play put on display.
