Middlesex hosted Thayer on Parents' Weekend, and got off to a quick start, as a number of near misses early on ultimately led to a 9th minute breakthrough for freshman Jacob Charles, when he buried a byline service from Gavin Tasker. The rest of the half remained 1-0, and Thayer gained momentum and confidence in the early phases of the second half. With 20 minutes remaining, senior Jivan Purutyan latched on to a wide service and side-footed a finish from just beyond the penalty spot for the 2-0 advantage. Freshman Justin D'Alessandro finished off the scoring by getting on the end of a set piece to head home. Purutyan was man-of-the-match for Middlesex, while Patrick Kennedy caused problems with his tenacity and skill for Thayer.
