The MX wrestlers established good position in neutral, escaped quickly from bottom and dominated in the top position to take the match against Lawrence Academy.

Ted Pyne made his varsity debut at 138 lbs and looked sharp with a first period takedown and pin 2:32 seconds into the match. Gavin Fujimori established a relentless tempo to take the Lawrence Academy captain with a 8-0 major victory.

Jivan Purutyan was at full strength, pinning his opponent in just under a minute with a finishing cradle to get the home crowd to their feet.

Captain Steve Zawada wrestled a very strong physical opponent but was able to establish a controlled pace for the victory. His pin was finalized one minute into the second period.

The team wrestled an excellent match, showing a good work ethic among the wrestlers.
