MX hung with the reigning champions throughout most of the first half. MX trailed 17-13 with,9:20,to go and had the deficit at a manageable 9 points before a 4-0 run in the last 30 seconds gave Rivers a 45-32 lead at the half. Rivers would start the second half on a 14-2 run and lead by 20 the rest of the way. Junior Austin Dorsey led MX with 12 points, 6 rebounds and 6 blocks. Senior Khari King had his 2nd consecutive double figure game off the bench with 13 points.
